Our Mission

Since 1983, Plack Road Baptist Church has stood as a lighthouse for the Gospel in the interior of Alaska. With a distinctive local ministry, and a worldwide outreach through its vibrant missions program, the church has long been at the forefront of reaching the lost for Jesus Christ.

In a day when many churches are drifting away from their Biblical moorings, this church has remained steadfast to the “one Lord, one faith, and one baptism” of its New Testament charter. By the grace of God, this Church is still an old-fashion Bible-believing Baptist Church; it still stands for the Authorized, King James Bible; it still preaches salvation by grace through faith in Christ; it still exhorts believers to live in godliness; and still remains committed to going into all the world to preach the Gospel.

“The words of the LORD are pure words: as silver tried in a furnace of earth, purified seven times. Thou shalt keep them, O LORD, thou shalt preserve them from this generation for ever” — Psalm 12:6-7

You

Psalms 107:9 says: For he satisfieth the longing soul, and filleth the hungry soul with goodness.

You need to be spiritually fed from God's word on a regular basis just as your body needs to be fed.

Us

James 4:8 says: Draw nigh to God, and He will draw nigh to you....

A good healthy church will allow you to be fed the true word of God. We strive to preach His word in a manner that will convict others to draw closer to Christ.

Him

Ephesians 3:21 says: Unto Him be glory in the church by Christ Jesus throughout all ages, world without end.

We exist to exalt Jesus Christ and Glorify God.

Doctrinal Statement

The following is a statement composed of, but not limited to, the basic doctrines that our church adheres to, and that make us fundamentally Baptist.

Articles of Faith

Loving God. Loving People.

Our Pastor

Pastor Jason Demlow has served as Senior Pastor of Plack Road Baptist Church since June, 2013. He was born again in March of 1995, as a 19 year old young man, at Bible Baptist Church in Grand Forks, ND. (Pastor Mike Custer). Two years later, he surrendered to the call of God on his life to be a preacher of the Gospel. After graduating in 2000 from Northland Baptist Bible Institute (the pastoral/missionary training institute at BBC, GF) with a degree in Theology, he continued to serve the Lord in his local church until 2003. At that time, Pastor Demlow joined the church staff of BBC as Assistant Pastor. He served under Pastor Custer for the next 10 years in many different ministries, gaining further training and experience. In late 2012, Plack Road Baptist Church, under the leadership of Pastor Gene Humphrey (who faithfully pastored PRBC for 30 years), called Pastor Demlow, asking him to consider taking the pastorate. After the Lord made it abundantly clear that this was His perfect will, Plack Road Baptist Church voted to install Pastor Demlow as its senior pastor in June of 2013.
